We offer an after school Culture Club for those students who would like some additional assistance with their school work, and to learn more about culture. Culture Club operates every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in the library and surrounding area from 2:40pm to 3:20pm.
We are hoping to facilitate a cultural experience each afternoon where students are taught various Indigenous cultural practices such as gardening in Durithunga, dance, art, music and craft. If you or someone you know has a particular interest or knowledge in an area, and are willing to share that knowledge with our students, we would love to invite you along to one of our afternoon sessions.
Culture Club is staffed by Sharlene Blanco (Teacher Aide) and Renai Kimlin (Attendance/Enrolments Officer). Due to popularity, the program is capped at 30 students per afternoon. Students must have written consent from their parent/caregiver to attend. Download a permission form or request one from the Office.
